The Safehouse

This is my entry for the Rising Stars Environment Art Challenge 2023. My name is Jonathan Davies and I am a first year student at NTU's Confetti studying Games Technology.

I have based my art challenge on the depth of winter theme and have decided to follow a 20th century soviet themed safehouse set during a nuclear winter. This eerie desolate forest safehouse has just been found 15 years in amidst the long winter by you and your group of survivor friends. About to set up camp and ready to find a way in, you are eager to see what you may uncover. 

I have taken a lot of inspiration from games such as the Fallout franchise and The Long Dark to create my piece and have thoroughly enjoyed making this. I found it challenging as I was very inexperienced near the start but have made fun of learning along the way and I hope to enter again.
